The Location

The address is 2002 E. 6th St. It's near downtown Tulsa & the Pearl District. It sits in one section of a renovated historic building - part of which also serves as the new hub of 24-7 Prayer OK. Hence its name: "The Abbey @24-7".

Where To Enter

The building has many entrances. But The Abbey can only be accessed in the back of the building. Drive down Xanthus Ave to enter the gated parking lot. Nearest the 24-7 Prayer OK sign is a door marked The Abbey @24-7.  Enter there.

When To Enter

The Abbey Hours for Summer are: 9a-8p Mon-Thu. 9a-5p Fri -Sat. It's closed on Sundays to encourage people to attend a local faith community for worship. During open hours no reservation is required. You can come & go as you please.

About The Abbey

The Abbey is designed to host individuals, small groups & large groups. It's a Christ-centered, mission-minded public prayer space offering creative ways to help people engage in prayer. Utilizing a modern spin on language & liturgy, there are many inward & outward focused themes with easy-to-engage prayer prompts. There are tables & couches, private, semi-private & open prayer stations.  Choose your favorite type of spot to unwind & meet with God.

Our Approach

We seek to provide compelling onramps that lead to connection & conversation with God. A few of these onramps pull from the diverse tribes & rich historic & modern traditions of the Church. That's intentional.  You may come across a book, magazine, liturgy, look or approach that's not a part of your own faith tradition. We encourage you to accept that the Church is wildly diverse, & that this space will reflect some of that diversity in its Jesus-focused, prayer-oriented content.

Code Of Conduct

The Abbey is open to everyone.

Abbey Site Maps located near the entrance contain info about the layout of the space & how to best engage it.  It also has a list of simple rules to help you respect the space & the people in it.  Grab one on your way in.

The presence of outdoor & indoor security measures, site staff, & a 'code of conduct' helps ensure visitors are able to utilize the space for the reasons intended.

The Site...

A few thousand sq ft within a historic beautiful brick building near downtown Tulsa has been loaned to us to host our 24-7 Prayer OK hub & public prayer space. Take a sneak peek inside.

The Abbey Cafe

Adjacent to the Abbey is a cafe where you can make yourself some coffee or tea, make a little noise, study or work, connect with friends, or meet as a small group. â€‹It can even be specially reserved for groups.Access the cafe near the Abbey entrance..

It is open the same hours as The Abbey. â€‹

TAKE NOTE

Don't wander into other parts of the building beyond The Abbey, restrooms, Cafe & Ekklesia Tulsa prayer room. If it's curtained off,  it's off limits.

A Prayer Room Next Door

Next door to The Abbey is the ministry of Ekklesia Tulsa which has an expansive prayer room of their own often hosting live devotional worship & prayer sets scattered throughout each day.

Although not a part of 24-7 or The Abbey, you're welcome to join in whenever live sets are happening. Most are well suited for those from a wide variety of Christian traditions. You're encourage to visit the ET prayer room as a part of your Abbey visit.
